If you're looking for an app that inspires student creativity then you should check out SeeSaw. This is a site that is modeled after social media platforms that allows students to write posts, draw pictures, and make videos. They can then interact with others' work through comments and "likes."

What does student work look like on SeeSaw?

Students create multimodal work on this app such as drawings and videos.

Drawings

Here is an example of a drawing that students can make on the app. This is a digital illustration of a home that was intended for a unit where students learn about various homes. They would represent their learning and connect with others through creatively expressing what their home looks like. The app allows students to use various colors, brush sizes, and labels in their drawings. There is also an eraser tool that makes it easy for students to fix any mistakes.

Videos

Students can also created narrated videos to demonstrate learning. The videos can allow all students to share their thoughts and can be viewed and commented on by other students. This can give students a voice in a classroom and an alternative way to express themselves orally. Click the link below to view a video I created to answer the prompt: What does home mean to you?
